「ドームというのは本当に夢の舞台。あの高揚感は忘れられない。大感動でした」。
5年前に初めて体験したという吉崎賢博さんはドーム野球の魅力を口にする。最初は記念のつもりで「写真やビデオ撮影などをし、年末の飲み会で盛り上がろう」という感じ。だが一度体験すると、すっかり魅了されてしまった。
今では大阪ドームで定期的にトーナメントを主催するほど。今年はこれまでに11回のトーナメントを開催し、44チームが参加した。
さらに東京ドームなど各地のドームで野球をする草野球仲間に声を掛け、KUSA1という事務局まで立ち上げた。昨年から全国の各ドーム大会優勝チームが草野球の日本一を争うまでになった。「決勝は11月27日に甲子園でやります。国歌吹奏や花束贈呈など、本格的ですよ」と吉崎さんは話す。
11月上旬。真夜中の大阪ドームで草野球のトーナメント大会が行われた。
大阪、東京、札幌3地区の予選を勝ち抜いた上位4チームによる準決勝は、1試合目が午前0時過ぎに始まり、2試合目が終わったのは午前4時前だった。
代表事務局の吉崎賢博さんも、真夜中の試合を観戦。「こんな遅くに野球するなんて、アホでしょう。でも、みんなほんまに野球が好きなんです」。豪快に笑う吉崎さんは、さらにこう続けた。「私たちにとって、ここは夢舞台。天候にも左右されず、深夜に声を張り上げられるのもドームならでは。大阪ドームを深夜草野球の聖地にしたいですね」

亀岡の知人より「大阪ドームで野球ができるらしいけど参加してみるか？」 と紹介頂き、チームで相談したところ、部員みんなが「大阪ドームで試合を やってみたい！」という思いと、『草野球あしなが基金』によりアジアの子ど も達の野球振興をされているという経過もあり、全員一致で参加させて頂くことになりました。
今回、テレビのニュース番組にも出演させて頂き、選手一同非常に素晴ら しい体験をさせて
頂くことができました。 さあ、決勝戦。いよいよ甲子園球場に足を踏み入れ、専用通路から一歩グラウンドに入った瞬間、目に入ってくる鮮やかな緑色・黒い土・広い観客席 。感無量といった状態になった反面、ハラハラドキドキしセレモニーを終え、 試合開始を迎えました。場内アナウンスにより電光掲示板に刻まれる名前 ・・・。選手一同、「本当に野球をやっていてよかった！」と思った一瞬だと思 います。結果的に選手１７名がグラウンドでプレーすることができ優勝でき ました。 いろいろな意味で、私の野球人生の中で生涯忘れることのできない１シー ンとなりました。今回得ました貴重な経験を自分の宝物とし、今後できる限り野球に携われるようにしたいと改めて感じました。

野球をしている人間なら一度は憧れるプロ野球。その選手がプレーしている大阪ドーム・甲子園。大阪ドームで入場したときは『大きい』の一言でし た。興奮や緊張感が感動や満足感に変わり、チームが一丸となって集中し これまでになかったような試合をすることができました。 やはり球場が違うと皆の気持ちも集中力も違い、試合をも変えてしまうほどの力があるのだと感じました。皆子どものように楽しんで野球をしている。 野球を始めたときの純粋な気持ちの大切さを改めて感じました。 そして甲子園。天然芝で、しかも手入れが行き届いた球場は元高校球児 の私にとって憧れの地であり、この球場で大歓声の中プロがプレーをしている、その同じマウンドに自分が立っていると思うと身震いするほどの感動を 覚えました。 甲子園には家族と共に入場することができ、私の活躍する姿を見てもらうことができました。このことは小さな子どもにとってもよい経験であり、機会に恵まれたことに大変感謝しております。
高校時代に行けなかった甲子園は、“二度と野球のできない場所”としか 思っていませんでした。そんな甲子園に足を踏み入れたときは、野球少年の気持ちに戻っていた気がします。
野球を始めて約20年になりますが、野球を続けて本当によかったと再認識させてもらった日でした。 大会関係者の皆様、ありがとうございました。
初めて甲子園での行進をして、ドキドキしていた。自分達が目指していた所で行進ができた。次に来るときには、高校球児としてこの甲子園に来てプレ ーする。先生方や主催者に、感謝の気持ちを忘れないでいきたい。
KUSA1では参加チームを募集しております。
札幌 ・東京 ・名古屋 ・大阪 ・福岡の最寄のドーム球場等夢舞台での草野球を体験し楽しみます。このKUSA1で勝利を積み重ねられ、ご希望のチームには例年阪神甲子園球場で開催される「KUSA1日本シリーズ」にご参加いただきます。
各地ドームでのKUSA1への出場資格は特にございません。およそ2～3勝でドーム代表チームとなり、KUSA1日本シリーズへの進出権が得られます。
優勝チームには優勝カップが授与され、MVPが選出され記念品が授与されます。

When I was a young adult, I gave a baseball glove to a boy as a token of my gratitude to his parent. The boy became very dedicated to baseball and went for Koshien during his high school age and became a top level athlete at the prefectural game. His parents were very happy with his accomplishments. I was also very happy that a single glove I gave him changed his life and brought happiness to him and the people around. Because I wanted to share excitement with more people through baseball, I have established Amateur Baseball Ashinaga Foundation in December 24th, 2001.
As Japan is an advanced country of baseball, children have great environment to learn it. On the other hand, in the other Asian countries excluding Korea and Taiwan, the opportunities to play baseball and the availability of baseball equipments are near-total absence. To this end, Amateur Baseball Ashinaga Foundation is aiming to give opportunities to play baseball for the children from neighboring Asian countries.

Part of the registration fee for amateur baseball games go to the fund. We want to be a role model in fund raising activities for amateur baseball clubs, inspired by world level professional players who are participating in fundraising as contribution to society.
We collect, repair and donate baseball equipments that are no longer needed. We also ask people to donate their baseball equipments so that we can repair and donate them to children in Asia.
We register and donate as annual fee for World Children’s Baseball Association. We donate to Zimbabwe Baseball Association.
We will help developing baseball popularity in Asia by building full-scale baseball fields. We have cooperated in the activities of Saigon South School Baseball Club, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in 2005.
Hoping that our future generations will love baseball as we do, we are trying to improve manners between baseball lovers. The purpose of Manner Improvement campaign is to develop manners between amateur baseball players and anyone who are involved in it.
Boys and girls, as the next generation of baseball players, will participate in opening ceremony ament.
We hold lectures to describe the activities of Amateur Baseball Ashinaga Foundation.

| 1. We host amateur baseball games in professional baseball stadiums. 1.1 Trial session for amateur baseball The purpose of this session is to invite a lot of people to enjoy amateur baseball. The game will take place at professional stadiums with wonderful settings and features such as in-stadium announcements, official judges and electronic lighting display. The environment is prepared to help people experience the joy of amateur baseball. 1.2 Games for amateur baseball The games will take place at professional stadiums. The atmosphere is set for serious games and the environment is prepared to help people experience the joy of amateur baseball. 1.3 Championships for each league. We will be hosting championship tournament for the federation of rubber-ball baseball and inter-organ amateur baseball at the professional baseball stadiums at minimal cost. The environment is prepared to help people experience the joy of amateur baseball. Also we hope that each team can meet other teams to expand their friendships. 2. We will contribute to the development of baseball for children in Asia. 2.1 Setting and operating the ﾒAmateur Baseball Ashinaga Foundation. We set up Amateur Baseball Ashinaga Foundation to support children from Asia so that they can enjoy playing baseball using part of the registration fee from the baseball games listed above. We would also like to be a role model of amateur baseball foundation. 2.2 Collection, donation and repair of kidsﾕ baseball goods that are no longer needed. Considering the fact that games listed above are relatively large and many people would join, we can work effectively by asking for individuals who are willing to donate their baseball goods that are no longer needed. After repairing the collected baseball goods, we will donate them to children in Asia to contribute to the baseball development. |
